Agency for Healthcare Administration

The Agency for Healthcare Administration was statutorily created by Chapter 20, Florida Statues as the chief health policy and planning entity for the state. The agency is primarily responsible for the state’s estimated $22.9 billion Medicaid program that will serve a projected 3.48 million Floridians in SFY 2013-14, the licensure of the state’s 45,000 health care facilities and the sharing of health care data through the Florida Center for Health Information and Policy Analysis.

This year the agency is working to continue to reduce the number of uninsured across the state, to enhance its ability to target fraudulent providers, to reduce unnecessary regulation, and to reduce administrative costs in order to ensure that dollars go to server patients and more.

Florida Department of Economic Opportunity

In collaboration with its partners, the Department of Economic Opportunity assists the Governor in advancing Florida’s economy by championing the state’s economic development vision and by administering state and federal programs and initiatives to help visitors, citizens, businesses, and communities.

The Department of Elder Affairs

The Department of Elder Affairs mission is to foster an environment that promotes well-being for Florida’s elders and enables them to remain in their homes and communities. Ultimately, the goal is to efficiently use resources to ensure that the greatest number of elders possible get to spend their golden years living healthy, active and fulfilling lives in their communities.

The portal was established to provide healthcare practitioners 24 hours a day access to the division's licensing services, including the ability to apply for a license or permit online, check the status of your application, and manage your licensure record. You can also search for approved counterfeit-proof prescription pad vendors and request certification of your Florida license.

Florida Center for Nursing

The Florida Center for Nursing is a state workforce center established in Florida statute (F.S. 464.0195) to recommend solutions to address Florida's nursing shortage. By collecting, analyzing, and reporting on the nursing workforce, the Center seeks to ensure an adequate supply of direct care providers for the health of all Floridians.

Independent Colleges & Universities of Florida

The Independent Colleges & Universities of Florida (ICUF) is a diverse association of 30 private, not-for-profit, higher education institutions. All are based in Florida and accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools (SACS). ICUG serves more than 150,000 degree – seeking students. It offers programs on main campuses,
at more than 100 satellite sites and through more than 425 fully online degree programs.
